We are continuing to work with residents to ensure that the proposed major works to the door entry system and to replace some of the roofs are properly scrutinised and the full details of the schemes are agreed with residents before they proceed. We have arranged a number of meetings with various personnel from City West Homes and these are continuing to discuss the details of these projects.
Cllr Melvyn Caplan commented that ‘’residents deserve to have their full say before any of these schemes go ahead and our role is to make sure that City West Homes engage fully with residents to ensure that they have all the information that they need to evaluate each project.’’ We are also working with residents to discuss the details of any future window replacement scheme.
We can also report that sadly a couple of trees fell and had to be removed from John Aird Court. We have asked residents for their choices for the replacement trees and the Judas Tree and Pride of India were the ones selected. A Japanese Pagoda a Tilia Henryana and a Tulip Tree will also be planted. There will also be appropriate pruning of other trees during the autumn period.
