MT

Across Westminster and Regent’s Park ward we try hard to reduce the visual clutter on our streets without compromising on providing a safe environment for pedestrians using the footways. Lord’s and Madame Tussauds can be found in our ward, two iconic and popular venues with the latter attracting some 2.5m visitors per year.

To help protect spectators and visitors alike, Hostile Vehicle Mitigation (HVM) have and are being installed on a temporary basis. In May eleven pairs of barges were placed outside Lord’s on St John’s Wood Road. And planning permission was granted last month for bollards to be installed on Allsop Place outside Madame Tussauds. Your local Councillors are supportive of these measures recognising these are exceptional circumstances where the public benefits outweigh the harm to the character and appearance of the conservation area.
