Westminster’s schools continue to perform above the national average as A-Level results show Conservative-run Westminster is a great place to for young people to study and develop.
82% of Westminster’s A-Level students achieved A* to C results, recording continued improvements and exceeding the national average of 77%.
Councillor Richard Holloway, Cabinet Member for Children, Families and Young People, Westminster City Council, said: “Well done to our Westminster students on achieving outstanding A-Level results. Both students and teachers have worked extremely hard and they should all be very proud of their achievements.”
A few highlights include:
- St Augustine’s CE High School who are celebrating the best A-Level results in their history. 24% of their students received A*-A grades, compared to 12% last year.
- Staff and students at Paddington Academy are also celebrating the best results in the school’s 10-year history. Overall results saw figures rise to their highest ever at the school, with 26% awarded the highest marks of A*-A grades.
- The Grey Coat Hospital was also delighted with their students A-Level results, with 36% of all grades were A*-A.
- Westminster Academy students have also been celebrating a successful set of post 16 results which have secured them places at top universities including three places at Oxbridge.
