No to an East-West cycleway on George Street

Earlier this year, in a public consultation, the people of Marylebone gave a resounding “no” to an east-west cycleway on George Street, which would require the removal of 35 parking spaces.

We hoped Labour would listen to local people, but Cllr Paul Dimoldenberg, Labour Cabinet Member for Highways, shocked Marylebone Councillors with his recent decision to go ahead anyway.

A segregated cycleway will make Marylebone Streets narrower.

With all the uncertainty around Mayor Khan's plans to pedestrianise Oxford Street, chaos may prevail with the displacement of buses, lorries, taxis and general traffic from Oxford Street.

If you share our concerns, please sign our petition calling on Labour-run Westminster Council and the Mayor of London not to go ahead with the Segregated Cycleway C43 on George Street.
