The fight to reverse Labour’s cruel cuts to the winter fuel allowance is not over. Labour may have been forced to u-turn in their winter fuel cuts by the Conservative campaign locally and nationally, however they still:
- Refuse to say when it will be restored
- Refuse to say who will get it
- Refuse to say if pensioners will get it in time for this winter
We believe that too many pensioners have been excluded and have heard of real suffering across Westminster. Pensioners who are excluded are not all rich, in fact many are living on very little income. The threshold needs to be raised to protect them.
