Conservative-led Westminster City Council has launched a public consultation asking local people which council services they most want protected, after the Government confirmed it is cutting the council's budget by £100 million. Cllr Paul Fisher, Cabinet Member for Value for Money and Finance, explains:
"The Labour government are cutting Westminster City Council's budget by £100 million.
"We're going to probably have to make savings and also council tax increases.
"But we want to hear from you, the residents of Westminster, about the services you want to see protected most."
An online budget survey is available for residents to submit their views, which will be taken into account as the council sets its budget for next year.
