Oxford Street

If you are planning a shopping trip to Oxford Street to do your Christmas shopping, why not visit ‘The Collect’?

Westminster City Council has partnered with the New West End Company and James Andrew International to open a pop-up sustainable fashion store at 500 Oxford Street, giving local businesses the opportunity to operate on the Nation’s High Street.

The store is part of your Conservative-run Council’s efforts to encourage people to return to the West End. The Council has worked hard over the last eighteen months to make sure that people can visit the City as safely as possible, with measures such as increased space for pedestrians.

People are starting to return. Footfall in the district has increased by 20% since September and in mid-November exceeded pre-pandemic levels for the first time. Shoppers' return has been crucial for many local businesses.

There’s plenty else to do in the build up to Christmas across our City this year. If you’re looking for something to do why not see what’s on by visiting the Council’s events page here? The page always promotes some of the best events and activities that Westminster has to offer.
