We welcome C43 consultation deadline extension

Marylebone Councillors Barbara Arymanow, Ian Rowley and Karen Scarborough are delighted that C43 consultation has been extended to Sunday 25 June.

Special thanks go to all who helped us secure this extension, especially the local people who supported our efforts.

We were compelled to intervene when lots of local people contacted us. Many people affected by these changes had not received adequate notification of the proposals.

By working with local amenity groups, including the Hyde Park Estate Association and the Marylebone Association and our Two Cities MP Nickie Aiken and London Assembly Member Tony Devenish, we were successful in getting Labour-controlled Westminster City Council to extend the deadline for consultation from Sunday 11 June to Sunday 25 June. It's not too late for you to have your say.

We support cycle lanes in principle but it’s vital everyone is able to participate.  We’re concerned how few residents are aware of the proposed changes and that the details to this proposal are being rushed through without proper consultation at risk to the safety of cyclists and pedestrians.

If you are concerned about these proposals, please complete our survey below.

Homelessness and rough sleeping is rising under Labour

Monday, 16 March, 2026
The numbers are stark. Homelessness and rough sleeping in Westminster are at record highs and is the highest of any council in the UK. The Labour-led council has allowed this crisis to get worse, with near year-on-year increases, without proper support to help people off the streets. This is the reality of life under this Labour-led Council: distracted by pet projects and headlines instead of helping vulnerable people who really need it.
