There is still time to respond to the consultation for the planning application that Berkeley Homes have submitted to their revised application for the old police station site.

Little Venice Update from Cllr Caplan and Cllr Dean

There is still time to respond to the consultation for the planning application that Berkeley Homes have submitted to their revised application for the old police station site.

The redevelopment of the Paddington Green Police Station was originally submitted to Westminster City Council in March 2021 and was refused by the planning committee.

Unfortunately, even though the original application was rejected, Berkeley Homes is trying to get the Labour Mayor, Sadiq Khan, to approve an even larger scheme than that which was originally rejected.

The original scheme was for three blocks of 15, 18 and 32 storeys. The revised scheme is for towers of 17, 24 and 39 storeys. We strongly believe that this revised scheme is totally inappropriate for the area and will be pushing for this to be rejected. We would urge residents to send in their views to the Mayor who will determine this application in January. Although we welcome 556 new residential units, we do not need or want three more large towers in this location. We would urge you to respond to this consultation.

Representations about the revisions to the Application can be submitted in writing or online to the following address by 23 December 2022:
