Unsafe Conditions from Local Betting Shop

As a Ward Councillor I take seriously the role the council must play in ensuring the safety of residents and visitors to our area.
It is for this reason that I was concerned to hear of an issue at Ladbrokes on Argyll Street.

A review of the gambling licence has been brought forward for the shop, after an alleged serious assault by a member of the betting staff.

Ladbrokes were unable to show any CCTV to Police upon arrival, despite having a fully operational surveillance system in place.

It also became clear that a significant area of the shop was not covered by CCTV.
