As we look forward to PRIDE on Saturday 29 June, we spoke with Prospective MP Tim Barnes and Westminster Councillor Ed Pitt Ford outside the Palace of Westminster.

Tim explained,

"It's June, and that means it's Pride Month, a chance to celebrate all of the wonderful achievements of our LGBTQ-plus community and to move towards acceptance for all."

Ed continued,

"And while progress has been made, sadly, discrimination still exists.

"We have a lot more work to do to create an equitable society for everybody, no matter who they are or who they love."

Tim concluded,

"So while it's June, while this is the time to do it, let's move towards acceptance and keep that LGBTQ-plus flag flying."

Help hold Westminster's Labour Council to account

Monday, 18 August, 2025
At Full Council meetings, members of the public have a unique opportunity to directly question the Labour administration on issues that matter most to you. We've observed a concerning trend: a tendency to fill these vital public slots with pre-arranged, 'easy' questions. This silences the genuine concerns of our community. That's why we need your help to ensure real issues are heard.
