Tents from Westway to Victoria Gardens! Time to tackle them

Swaddle Speaks Up

My team and I have been fighting for well over a year for this Labour-run City Council to deal properly with tents that have popped up across our city. They are singularly failing to do so.

Tents often hide drugs misuse and sexual assaults. And have associated human fouling. This is unacceptable. The occupiers do need support, but when that fails, we need action to be taken swiftly, not to take many months.

Tents unchecked result in encampments developing. We all have seen the impact in places like the Westway, Park Lane and Victoria Gardens.

This is a failure of the Labour-led Westminster Council to prioritise this issue, while wasting money on pet projects.

Please take a moment to sign our petition to Westminster City Council calling for swifter, firmer action.

PS Fighting elections and campaigning for a better Westminster costs money. If you would like to support us to win in May 2026 please chip in here.

Hands Off Oxford Street!

On Tuesday, the Deputy Mayor of London announced that Sadiq Khan would be taking over Oxford Street early, with Transport for London designated as the traffic authority for the street. It was clear by the nature of the announcement that Westminster City Council were not prepared for this.
