Tents that blocked safe access under the Westway for nearly two years are finally gone!

Tents that blocked safe access under the Westway for nearly two years have finally been removed, after sustained pressure from Little Venice Councillors Melvyn Caplan and Lorraine Dean.

For almost two years, dozens of tents under the Westway stopped local people from getting across the road safely and blighted this part of Little Venice.

Throughout that time, Cllr Melvyn Caplan repeatedly raised the issue with Westminster’s Labour administration and TfL, writing and speaking to them more than a dozen times to demand action.

We are pleased that the tents have now finally been removed, vulnerable people have been supported into a better place, and residents can once again move freely and safely in their own neighbourhood.

Little Venice Conservatives will keep holding the Council and TfL to account to ensure our streets are safe, clean and looked after.
