The Street Action Waste Team (SWAT) is a new initiative implemented by the Conservative-controlled Westminster City Council.
The team has been set up to: reduce rubbish-dumping on streets; ensure all residents are aware of how and when to dispose of their rubbish and recycling; and ensure residents understand the best ways to report problems.
The objective is to instigate long-term behavioural change to supplement fly-tipping fines. After listening to residents and witnessing the unacceptable volume of inappropriate disposal of rubbish in BDS, Cllr Barbara Arzymanow campaigned to focus SWAT on our Ward from 8 October. Please help to SWAT-out the problem by providing information to focus the team on hotspot locations by emailing [email protected].
