Swaddle Speaks Up

As we enjoy the Christmas season, let's support our neighbours and those in need in our community. Small acts of kindness can make a big difference. Here are four meaningful ways you can help this festive period:

Check-in on elderly or vulnerable neighbours

A friendly chat or a quick visit could brighten someone’s day. Offer to help with shopping, post cards or letters, or share a cup of tea.

Support local food banks and charities

Many families face financial challenges during the holidays. Your contributions of non-perishable food, clothes, or toys can bring joy to those in need.

Volunteer your time

Local community projects often need extra hands. A few hours of your time could help create a memorable holiday for someone else.

Support community events and activities

Attend or contribute to local Christmas fairs, carol services, and charity fundraisers. These events often support important local causes.

Your generosity and community spirit help make Westminster a place we can all be proud of. Let’s come together and spread compassion, joy, and goodwill this Christmas.

Wishing you a safe, warm, and happy festive season.

PS: Councillors give up their time to support communities too. If you are interested in standing for election or volunteering in politics, please contact us.
