This year we have funded our usual hanging baskets plus some extra ones in Craven Road, leading visitors towards the shops on Craven Terrace.

We also secured funding for a senior citizens’ trip to the Open Air theatre in Regent’s Park last month May to see Thornton Wilder’s play ‘Our Town’. Another senior citizens' outing to Runnymede and Windsor is planned for 18th July. Please contact us for details or email [email protected] to reserve your places on this popular free full-day excursion, which includes a leisurely boat trip and lunch at a Toby restaurant.

We are in the process of securing funding for a local befriending and advice scheme for isolated older people with AgeUK Westminster, including excellent IT advice sessions over tea at Paddington Library, and also for local families to join the ‘Little Acorns’ programme for young children at the newly enlarged Baptist Church on Porchester Rd. This is the nearest such facility for people living in our ward.

Don’t miss #MYWESTMINSTER DAY on 30th June, 11am-3pm at Paddington Recreation

Ground. There are loads of free, fun attractions for all ages—bungee trampolining, hula hoops and giant games for children, cricket, dancing and craft workshops for young people, and music from great bands and a choir. The only complaint we ever hear about this event, which marks the Great Get Together inspired by the late MP Jo Cox, is that it doesn’t last long enough!
