School Visit

Cllrs Rowley and Scarborough joined Nickie Aiken MP to visit St Marylebone Girls' School, where they met with Chair of Governors Eliza Thompson and Business Development Director,  Deborah Loades.

Together we saw the fantastic new science labs being refurbished with the support of Councillors and the Marylebone Forum monies from the Community Infrastructure Levy. Hopefully these up to date ultra modern labs will encourage more girls to take up science.

The school also told us of how grateful they were to have air purifiers to get rid of pollutants in all the classrooms. These were funded through the Council's Clean Air Fund, through which generous local people may choose to pay an additional voluntary Council Tax contribution. This initiative was established by Nickie Aiken when she served as Leader of the Council.
