Cycling in Regent's Park

Local residents have been telling us about the issue of speeding cyclists on the Outer Circle of Regent's Park. Many are concerned that it is increasingly difficult to safely cross the road, and about the lack of crossing points.

Cllr Paul Swaddle said

“I have met with the Royal Park and others in recent weeks, and it would be massively beneficial to have data to back up that meeting – please fill in the survey and let us know your views.”

Cllr Tim Barnes on LBC: "There never was, there never will be" a ban on standing up for a Drink

Saturday, 8 August, 2026
Asked whether the council was trying to ban vertical drinking, Cllr Barnes was clear: "No, of course not. That would be a silly thing to do. It would be completely against everything that we have publicly said we're setting out to do... There isn't, there never was, there never will be a plan to ban standing up in a pub in Westminster to have a drink."
