New Crossing

Following your Conservative Councillors’ work to get the Strathearn Place crossing, contractors are now putting in another one at the Hyde Park Street end of Hyde Park Place.

There will also be a raised table at the south junction of Street and Square to make it even easier to cross when walking towards Connaught Village.

"This will really help," Conway contractors told us as they worked on the crossing. They have seen for themselves how much rat-running there is from the Bayswater Road. The measures will protect pedestrians and make the road look less attractive as a short cut.

Councillor Heather Acton has confirmed that a study on traffic movement across the area is now underway to assess what further steps could be taken to help deter rat-running and address other local concerns, such as pedestrian safety.
