Transport for London have made some minimal improvements to road safety signage near the White Swan Pub. Millbank area resident and community activist Selina Short comments “Someone is going to get killed, I was talking to Ponsonby Terrace residents with a young family, we need stop go lights at the crossing as so many cyclists don’t slow down in this area where pedestrians and cyclists mix”.
Your Conservative Councillors Danny Chalkley and David Harvey have asked Transport for London to offer a public meeting to residents on safety, the cycle lanes and the congestion they have caused and on the air pollution problems created. Westminster Council is running a range of campaigns on air quality, knowing how much it matters to you, we are now looking to expand measures to deter polluting diesels and to stop engine idling across the City.
