Summer Fayre
Pothole

St. John's Hospice Summer Fayre

Over the weekend of 24th & 25th June, the annual Summer Fayre was held at St John’s Wood Church Gardens offering rides, games and around 50 stalls serving food, selling crafts and other goodies, in aid of the St John’s Wood Hospice. Robert, Daniel & Gotz once again supported this popular community event by providing funds from the local ward budget. ‘We are extremely grateful to the local Councillors who provided much needed funds from their ward budget ensuring the Fayre not only took place but was bigger and better than previous years’ - Mark Thomas, Director of Marketing and Fundraising.

Electric Charging points in the ward

The Electric Vehicle market in the UK is rapidly growing and within Westminster we had 241 new electric vehicle registrations in 2016, more than any other inner London Borough. To help meet this demand and provide a wider choice, we are upgrading and installing across Westminster 109 new electric vehicle recharging points up from 66.

Within our ward here in Regent’s Park, we currently offer 6 bays located on Grove End Road, Prince Albert Road and St John’s Wood Road. Your local Conservative Councillors are conscious of the need for these Electronic Vehicle bays to be sensibly located so if you have any suggestion on possible new kerbside locations, we would like to hear from you. Westminster roads and lighting programme

Westminster City Council is currently embarking on developing their planned maintenance programmes for 2018/19. Your local Councillors are keen to hear from residents about any carriageway, footway or street lights in Regent’s Park ward which you feel should be included in this programme. Please email us with the name of the street, location and defect.

Hurry as the consultation ends on 30th September 2017!

New bus stop seat on Circus Road

Anyone using either bus 46 or 187 will hopefully have noticed a bench which has been installed at the bus stop on Circus Road near to where it meets Cavendish Avenue. Your local Councillors were contacted about providing a bench to help residents and patients using the nearby St John’s Wood Medical Practice as well as the High Street. After a favourable public consultation, the bench was installed and we are glad to report it is welcomed by young and old alike.

Westminster A Level students excel

Westminster’s schools continue to perform above the national average as A-Level results show Conservative-run Westminster is a great place to for young people to study and develop.

Local ultrafast broadband rollout gathers pace. Some of the common frustrations experienced by internet users will no longer feature at Churchill Gardens Estate, where ultrafast fibre broadband has been rolled out to over 1,800 homes.
