Community activist and Hyde Park local candidate Zaheed Nizar caught up with Cllr Heather Acton in Connaught Village earlier. Heather explained what steps the local councillors have been taking to improve this part of Westminster.

So Heather, here we are in Connaught Village, what work have the local councillors been doing recently to regenerate the area?

Zaheed asked

So we're working closely with the Church Commissioners because we're looking at creating this as a green area of public space to make it really the heart of Connaught Village

We're also very conscious that there are street sleepers in the area.

We make sure that the bedding is cleared away, but most importantly, that those people get offered accommodation through outreach.
