Pedicabs

Following successful operations towards the end of last year, the Council continues to organise further operations with the police to tackle anti-social behaviour of some pedicab drivers in the West End, St. James’s, Marylebone and Knightsbridge.

Your Conservative Council has helped the police to issue over forty warning notices to disruptive drivers. To resolve the issue more permanently, the Council is currently examining whether Community Protection Notices could be drawn up to prevent the use of pedicabs in specific areas of our City.

As we have mentioned before, Two Cities MP Nickie Aiken has tabled a Private Member’s Bill in Parliament which if passed would require pedicabs to be licensed and make the policing of them far easier. You can find out more about her Bill and show your support for it here.
