The maintenance of our highways and pavements across Westminster is a priority for the council and improvements are being made all the time. So when a resident living in Charlbert Street contacted Robert, Paul and Gotz about works which had been left half-finished and causing a trip hazard, we stepped in to resolve it immediately. 

As the resident who brought this to our attention commented ‘Thank you Cllr Rigby for your quick action, the barriers were taken away today and cones now installed where the uneven edge is’. To report any paving or highways issues please call the Westminster Environmental Action line on 020 7641 2000 or use the online street problem reporting service. Alternatively contact us.

Labour-run Council belatedly tries to distance itself from the Labour Government’s proposed planning reforms

Westminster Conservatives are delighted that the current Labour council has finally publicly agreed with the Conservative councillors’ position on Angela Rayner’s proposed planning reforms. This Labour Government has proposed completely removing local councillors from the decision-making process on almost all applications. Westminster Conservatives pointed out that this is undemocratic and could undermine public trust in planning decisions back in March.
