New Hoarding to prevent illegal access in Guildhall Street

Hoarding

We have been receiving regular complaints from residents about anti-social behaviour, including drug taking and drinking, at the back of the office block at 11 Belgrave Road.

Proposals have been developed to refurbish this building to include flexible workspace, with new terracing and a landscaped garden facing Guildhouse Street. The plans are now available on-line here for local people to see and comment.

In view of the problems at this location, Cllr Jacqui Wilkinson has been working with the developer Quadrum, Westminster’s Pimlico Neighbourhood Coordinator and the Police on measures to ‘design out’ opportunities for anti-social behaviour. In the short-term and as a gesture to the community, Quadrum has offered to fund 50% of the cost of a new hoarding to prevent illegal access until the development works start. The remainder of the cost is being met by the current landlord of 11 Belgrave Road.

It's time for Safe Streets in Westminster

Wednesday, 1 April, 2026
Under Labour, crime has got worse. Phone theft, antisocial behaviour, public disorder and drug dealing have all increased. People think twice before using their phone on the street. Shopkeepers have accepted shoplifting as a daily reality. Families avoid their local parks. And schools have lost community police officers. All under Sadiq Khan’s watch as Westminster Labour have overseen managed decline.
