Police Patrol

Your Lancaster Gate Councillors Susie Burbridge and Margot Bright, with support from our local neighbourhood teams, have introduced plans for 24/7 dog patrols throughout the ward. These will start in the run-up to Christmas and we hope that it will make a difference not only for our residents but the whole of Westminster. We will be liaising with Councillor David Harvey, Cabinet Member for Housing, regarding a wider roll-out of the scheme if successful.

Drugs and Anti-social behaviour have continued to concern many residents in Lancaster Gate Ward over the past year.  Our local neighbourhood team have been excellent but collating information in trying to bring charges is so very time consuming and often the law is against any speedy action. Our target is clear there is no room for those people who are drug dealing in this area, especially as we want to protect our young people from becoming victims.

We have talked and talked about the issues but as soon as we manage to deal with one case another comes along.  So what do we do to make a difference. Not just talk about the issues but actually try to make a difference.
