Once again, the Labour Mayor, Sadiq Khan, has failed residents in Little Venice Ward with another fatal blow to bus services along Edgware Road/Maida Vale.

Update from your Little Venice Councillors

Once again, the Labour Mayor, Sadiq Khan, has failed residents in Little Venice Ward with another fatal blow to bus services along Edgware Road/Maida Vale.

This time he has removed bus route 16. This is the removal of 6 buses per hour. Residents will now have to rely on the already overloaded route 6. This is on top of the previous service reductions we have experienced to the local routes 46 and 414 routes as well as previous reductions to the No. 6 service. The last few years have seen more and more hammer blows to our local bus services that many residents rely upon. We have a Mayor that is simply ignoring our local community.

Hands Off Oxford Street!

Monday, 15 September, 2025
On Tuesday, the Deputy Mayor of London announced that Sadiq Khan would be taking over Oxford Street early, with Transport for London designated as the traffic authority for the street. It was clear by the nature of the announcement that Westminster City Council were not prepared for this.
