Barrow Hill Junior School

We all know the importance of keeping our streets safe, so your local councillors fully support the introduction of ‘School Streets’ outside Barrow Hill School which sees the closing of Bridgeman Street between Greenberry Street and Allisten Road to vehicles during school drop-off and collection.

The aim is to create a safer environment, improve air quality and encourage more active travel such as walking and cycling. Currently this is a trial running until April 2022 at which point a decision will be made on whether to make it permanent.  More information can be found on this scheme here.
