None of us were happy about the spike in rough sleeping and associated antisocial behaviour, soup runs and drug-crime around Christmas, near the Cathedral and beyond.

Living and working here, your three Conservative Councillors, Danny Chalkley, David Harvey and Selina Short see these issues every day. “Changes to local policing are one of the issues that have helped drive these problems”, says Cllr Short.

Council Leader Nickie Aiken took Police Commissioner Cressida Dick on a local tour to show her what is happening. Westminster Council has a way off the streets for everyone. Nearly 80% of new rough sleepers in Westminster do not spend a second night out on the streets. The Council's outreach teams, alongside local charities, work extremely hard but they need support from our police.

If you want to raise your concerns, please let us know by emailing us and we will collect them send them on to the Deputy Mayor for policing.
