As we have already reported, your local councillors have been working with the Paddington Waterways and Maida Vale Society and the Council’s Westminster Connects service to provide meals donated by Clifton Road businesses Raoul’s and Cook Maida Vale to our hardworking NHS staff at St. Mary’s Hospital.
Last week, Cllrs Caplan and Green took part in Westminster Connects’ shopping service.
Volunteers are carrying out shopping on behalf of residents who need help. Your local councillors helped with the sorting of shopping at the City of Westminster College and then delivered grocery orders to local residents. If you need help with shopping because of the Coronavirus outbreak, then please get in touch with Westminster Connects by email or telephoning 020 7641 1222.
Also last week, Cllrs Caplan and Green delivered 650 home-made masks to St. Mary’s Hospital. Little Venice’s local Amenity Society the Paddington Waterways and Maida Vale Society is working with seamsters and seamstresses to make face masks for our NHS staff at St. Mary’s. A dedicated, 43-strong team is looking to increase production to 1000 a week. If you have a sewing machine, can you help? Get in touch here.
