Improving Air Quality in and around Marylebone Station - Cllr Robert Rigby

We spoke with Cllr Robert Rigby, outside Marylebone Station, earlier today. Robert is one of the local councillors who represent the area at Westminster City Council.

Robert explains,

"I'm standing outside Marylebone Station, home of Chiltern Railways.

"It's disappointing to have heard recently that they've abandoned their plans to introduce hybrid trains across their network.

"The good news, however, is that they've introduced their first green vegetable oil-powered trains, which will undoubtedly improve the air quality in and around Marylebone Station.

"We continue to support Chiltern Railways’ desire to improve and upgrade the ageing fleet."

"High property values do not always translate into high household incomes," he said, warning that residents whose homes have simply risen in value over time, without any change to their actual earnings, could be unfairly caught out.
