There have been a number of rough sleepers in the south of the ward in recent weeks and we engaged our outreach teams to try and assist those individuals that have been found in these areas.

The recent areas involved were opposite Travis Perkins under the flyover, around St Mary's Terrace Green and on Paddington Green. Each of the areas have now had the discarded waste items cleared and the individuals have been offered help by the outreach teams.

  • We arranged for the door entry system at Bond Mansions on Edgware Road to be repaired.
  • We have been assisting a number of residents in Amilcar Cabral Close in Porteus Road with various problems with their housing association provider ARHAG.
  • We organised for double yellow lines to be introduced outside the entrance to some of the canal boats on Blomfield road to ensure that vehicles did not block the entrance.
  • We have successfully arranged for some untidy waste to be removed from behind the old Baker and Spice shop on Clifton Road. If it had been left any longer it could have attracted vermin.
  • We have reported a dead tree in Clifton Road and have asked for a replacement one to be organised in the Autumn planting season. We also have had confirmation that a new tree will be planted to replace the one that was removed at the junction of Shirland Road and Sutherland Avenue.
  • We reported the growth of tree roots into a Notting Hill Genesis building on Warrington Crescent and they have agreed to deal with this issue to prevent further damage to the building. We are also dealing with a number of other resident concerns with other Notting Hill Genesis properties in the ward.
