Chinatown is a vibrant part of St. James's ward which brings a fantastic mix of eastern culture to the heart of London’s West End.  January 25th saw the arrival of the Chinese New Year celebrations, which centred on Trafalgar Square.

Local councillor Tim Mitchell was honoured to participate in the Year of the Rat celebrations. Here he is dotting the eyes of a lion so waking it for its traditional New Year dance.
