Swaddle Speaks Up

Since we heard last month that 32 London post offices are threatened with closure including Broadway by St James's tube, Lupus Street in Pimlico, Paddington Quay, hundreds of local people have been in touch to share their concerns.

Back our campaign, now

We've seen thousands of leaflets delivered, street stalls and people signing our petition.

We all know that local post offices play a vital role in our High Streets across Westminster. No longer only places to post a letter, but providing bank services, bill payments, parcel collection and access to government services including Universal Credit. Post Offices are particularly valued by older people, those with mobility issues and people not able or comfortable to go online.

We welcome the Post Office's announcement that they will look to re-establish some of these inside corner shops and other retailers, where there is local demand. We need to show the strength of public support for our local post offices.

We need to act together to protect the post offices we have and make the case for new locations. Please join our campaign.

PS: So many people rely on post offices - especially older people. Show your support, and back our campaign now!

Help hold Westminster's Labour Council to account

Monday, 18 August, 2025
At Full Council meetings, members of the public have a unique opportunity to directly question the Labour administration on issues that matter most to you. We've observed a concerning trend: a tendency to fill these vital public slots with pre-arranged, 'easy' questions. This silences the genuine concerns of our community. That's why we need your help to ensure real issues are heard.
