Free fun and events this summer!

Having a ‘staycation’ in Westminster this summer? Looking for ways to get children off their devices?

Check out these free activities across the city over the summer.

Free Concerts in Regents Park Every Weekend

Local Councillors in St John’s Wood are proud to have secured funding to support the weekend concerts at the Regents Park Stand (Sundays) and Jazz on the Broadwalk (Saturdays) from now until Sunday 22 September. Pop along and enjoy the music and sunshine for free. More detail here

Marylebone: Summer in the Square

Enjoy free viewing of the Paris Olympics at Games in the Garden on a big screen in the beautiful setting of Portman Square Garden. Showings will occur between Wednesday 7 and Sunday 11 August.

While watching your favourite games from one of the deck chairs, drinks and food will be available from a selection of quality street food stalls and local cuisine “Guest Kitchen”. Popular local restaurants will be on rotation, or explore nearby Marylebone’s wonderful dining options.

Tennis at Marble Arch

Marble Arch BID and Portman Marylebone are bringing a padel court to the forecourt at Marble Arch for the first time.

Pop-up Padel at Marble Arch will take place from Wednesday 31 July to Monday 26 August from 7am – 8pm each day. The pop-up court, constructed in front of the Arch, can be hired out for one-hour time slots, with all bats and balls provided.

Marble Arch BID is giving Westminster City Save cardholders access to special offers and is also working with All Out Padel, England’s first LGBTQ+ padel club, to encourage its members to try out the court at Marble Arch.

Mayfair

Don’t miss the pop-up fan zone in Grosvenor Square, where you can pull up a deck chair and watch free live screenings of the 2024 Paris Olympics. It is open from 9 am to 9 pm from 26 July to 11 August.

Belgravia – Eccleston Yards

Eccleston Yards will be home to A Summer of Sport in partnership with Boodles plus many other activities, food and drink available.

City Lions

Former Conservative Leader of Westminster City Council and MP Nickie Aiken set up the City Lions to ensure there was more to do for 13-16-year-olds locally. If you're 13-16 years old and living in Westminster then it's worth checking out the fantastic list of free City Lions summer events, which start from Monday.

Inside out

This Summer also sees the return of Westminster's fantastic and free Inside Out celebration of arts and culture. There are loads of brilliant events, happening throughout August. Find out more.
