Little Venice Councillors believe every child, including those with special educational needs, have the right to optimise their physical capabilities and through that their overall wellbeing. Children with special educational needs, experience anxiety, have fewer friends and are more likely to be vulnerable to obesity and health problems.

Last year, your Councillors bought new boxing equipment from the Ward budget to support PC Reading’s Boxing Club for children and young adults at the Little Venice Sports Centre. In conjunction with PC Reading, we are delighted to support a new boxing class for children with special educational needs. This will be held at the Little Venice Sports Centre on Wednesdays 5-6pm. We are also looking to promote other sports such as football and tennis for children with special educational needs. If you have a child who you think would benefit from more sport opportunities for those with special educational needs, please contact us at [email protected].

More Police in Marylebone

Tuesday, 3 June, 2025
The single most important issue that residents tell us matters to them is feeling safe when walking around the area.

Unfortunately, we regularly receive reports about shoplifting in Marylebone. We have managed to get the council to install several CCTV cameras.
