We have been receiving increasing numbers of complaints from residents about drug dealing taking place near the phone boxes at the junction of Gloucester and Denbigh streets. The police have been carrying out intensive operations at that location, many under cover, resulting in a significant number of arrests included a suspect, who was found with a large quantity of drugs and believed to be a key leader in the local drugs trade.
The police are very grateful for all the information local people are passing to them either directly or via us and they are keen to continue to hear from us all if the issues continue here or in other parts of Pimlico. Local intelligence is making a difference to tackling this crime which is unpleasant for those living and working in the area but also preys on our most vulnerable citizens.
