Pimlico Dog Event

Cllr Jacqui Wilkinson joined the Westminster City Council Animal Welfare Team and nearly 50 local people for their first dog event in two years, which was held at the dog park in St George's Square.

Luckily the park was well shaded and a paddling pool was provided to keep our four legged friends cool. There were treats for the dogs and a canine photographer to take portraits of owners and pets as well as advice from the Mayhew Animal Hospital.

There will be further events during the summer throughout Westminster, culminating in our first ever dog show on 'Silver Sunday' on 3rd October. This is the special day with fun activities for older people in our community.

Cllr Christabel Flight founder of Silver Sunday and Older People’s Champion says: "As a dog owner, I am very excited about the plans for this very special event." More information will be provided in the Autumn Edition of ‘Westminster Plus’, the Council's magazine for older residents.

Labour is reckless with your money and weak with your safety

Labour is being careless with your money and failing on crime

Monday, 9 March, 2026
At Labour’s Westminster City Council budget last week, I made Westminster Labour answer for their reckless spending and weak action on rising crime and declining street standards. Westminster Labour has wasted £27 million on a failed housing contractor, self-awarded senior Labour councillors pay rises of up to 62 per cent and are projected to hike your Council Tax by 75 per cent over the next four years.
