Cycle Superhighway - It's not too late to have your say

Cycle Superhighway

CS11 is the proposed new cycle superhighway planned to cut through St John’s Wood.  The scheme will fundamentally change our local area as it includes the permanent closure of Regent’s Park gates (except for 11am – 3pm) and restrictions on Avenue Road resulting from a change in the layout to the Swiss Cottage gyratory.

Combined with the impact of other major projects in the area including HS2, the development at the Barracks, Lord’s Cricket Ground and Baker Street 2-way, residents will be affected as roads  potentially become more congested resulting in rat running throughout St John’s Wood.

Your local councillors recognise the need to tackle air pollution and create a more integrated transport system including improving the safety of the roads for cyclists BUT this should NOT be at the expense of all other road users and result in restricting access to Regent’s Park.

You can take part in the public consultation and submit your opinions up until 20 March. Please also forward this email to your neighbours. Please also email your local Councillors and let us know your views at [email protected]

Full details of the scheme can be seen at https://consultations.tfl.gov.uk/cycling/cs-11, including a larger version of the below map with the proposed changes.
