Coaches provide an integral and vital part of London’s transport network with routes from around the country coming into the Capital with many passing through St John’s Wood.  A large number of coaches from Green Line to National Express make a stop in the southern part of our ward on Baker Street between Park Road and Marylebone Road.

Residents living in Chalfont Court on Baker Street contacted your local Councillors about issues of setting down passengers, idling and overstay parking on the designated coach bay.  A meeting with TfL and Westminster officers was arranged and a number of measures are being put in place to help alleviate these issues.

One resident commented ‘Thank you for arranging for the key players to meet to look at our traffic and pollution issue and we are hopeful these will resolve the issues we have been facing’.

Residents wishing to report any coach or vehicle issues should visit https://www.westminster.gov.uk/report-it-vehicles
