Work has started on a major refurbishment of Christchurch Gardens on the junction of Victoria Street and Broadway.
The work will see improvements to the seating and paving as well as new trees and planting to maximise the biodiversity of the gardens with extended flowering periods of pollinator friendly plants. Cllr Louise Hyams says: "The last round of improvements to the gardens took place ten years ago, so now is the time to invest in the park to create a space that people will enjoy spending time in."
