Silver Sunday

In 2012, Westminster Cllr Christabel Flight and local charity the Sir Simon Milton Foundation launched Silver Sunday.

Silver Sunday has since grown to become a nationwide annual event.

The day celebrates the value that older people bring to communities across the UK. This year’s event was last Sunday. Throughout the day, elderly people across the City enjoyed a range of fun and free activities ranging from dancing to a dog show at Paddington Recreation Ground to a tour of Hyde Park Barracks.

It was great to see Silver Sunday return to normal, after the pandemic curtailed many of its activities last year. You can find out more about Silver Sunday here including how you can get involved with next year’s Silver Sunday.
