Over the first May bank holiday weekend Little Venice Ward was very proud to host another year of Canalway Cavalcade organised by Inland Waterways. On the run up to the event your Councillors were keen to keep an eye on detail and improve the amount of free space available on the site designated for the food court. The trees were given a substantial prune so that the stalls were set back along the wall of Stone Wharf.
It was a pleasure to see many picnickers enjoying the resulting widened area. Stone Wharf is the area between Rembrandt Gardens and the overhead Harrow Road Bridge. Your neighbourhood watch Police Constable, Paul Reading, made his presence known. Councillor Barbara Arzymanow says, “Little Venice has a rich historical heritage which we are determined to preserve and develop.”
