Local people living in the areas around the proposed C43 cycleway have contacted us to express their concern about the lack of public consultation on the changes.

Under pressure from local councillors, residents' societies and our MP Nickie Aiken, the Council agreed to extend the consultation period.

We spoke to Cllr Barbara Arzymanow before tonight's Full Council.

I'm Barbara Arzymanow and I'm one of the three councillors for Marylebone Ward.

Tonight is Full Council and I intend to hold the Cabinet member for Highways to account over the cycleway on George Street between the Edgware Road and Gloucester Place.

He must allow all the residents on George Street to have their say.

You can find out more about the proposed consultation via our website.

Its time for Safe Streets in Westminster

Wednesday, 1 April, 2026
Under Labour, crime has got worse. Phone theft, antisocial behaviour, public disorder and drug dealing have all increased. People think twice before using their phone on the street. Shopkeepers have accepted shoplifting as a daily reality. Families avoid their local parks. And schools have lost community police officers. All under Sadiq Khan’s watch as Westminster Labour have overseen managed decline.
