Burst water pipe in Avenue Road

Avenue Road Leak

On Monday 14th January a major water pipe burst in Avenue Road causing flooding and loss of water to a number of properties on this road. Unfortunately a section of Avenue Road between Prince Albert Road and St Edmunds Terrace had to be closed and as a result traffic was diverted into the side streets of NW8. 

Your councillors pushed Thames Water to repair this pipe ASAP and to investigate why this burst had happened given a similar burst had taken place in this area in recent years which also resulted in Avenue Road having to be closed. The road was eventually reopened in Sunday 20th January.
