Last month saw the return of outdoor hospitality at some of our areas much-loved dining spots as lockdown restrictions were eased.
The Council has been working hard with businesses to help manage returning diners, ensuring everyone adheres to social distancing guidelines.
City Inspectors and COVID-19 Marshals have been on hand to ensure that those who visit Westminster can enjoy the best it has to offer, in a safe way that is considerate to local people.
The Council have supported over 600 businesses take advantage of lockdown easing by processing outdoor dining licences. As your Councillors we recognise that outdoor dining these may cause disruption to some locals. We will ensure any such impact is kept to an absolute minimum. Businesses have conducted risk assessments to be able to reopen safely to the public.
If you are dining and drinking at outdoor premises please remember:
- You can only be served if you’re seated in one of the designated areas.
- To plan ahead and remember your face covering.
- As you head home, make sure to be respectful of dining spots neighbours and residents and leave quietly.
- You can plan your journey home at TfL’s website ahead of time.
