Your Knightsbridge & Belgravia councillors are listening to local people.
We recently had two applications, one planning and one licensing, that gathered much interest.
Local people were in touch with concerns over a change of use planning application for 38 Belgrave Square to turn it from residential into a wellness and spa centre and with a licensing application for 70 Brompton Road, the former site of Topshop, for a 300+ cover restaurant.
Councillors listened to residents and then via robust representations, these applications were not approved at committee, much to the relief and delight of local people. Commenting, Cllr Elizabeth Hitchcock said,
“I was pleased to see these applications rejected at committee and want to encourage local people to get in touch with us about contentious applications – we can work together for a good outcome”.
