How safe do you feel in Westminster?

Two police officers in uniform stand on a busy city street near a police van, while pedestrians walk along the cobblestone road—capturing a typical day in the Westminster City Council area.

Former News at Ten anchor Selina Scott's recent experience of being mugged in broad daylight on Piccadilly shines a spotlight on the many failings of the Met Police under the Mayor of London, Sir Sadiq Khan.

Despite his numerous announcements and publicity stunts, it is more dangerous than ever in central London. High volume crimes such as phone thefts, shoplifting and muggings go unpunished or are not even properly investigated. On top of this, the Mayor is making drastic cuts to police numbers and closing police station desks. This makes it extremely difficult to report crime in person. And yet he has the gall to claim he is tackling crime and that Londoners feel safe.

Do you feel safe in Sadiq’s London? Share your experiences with us.
