Conservative compassion means practical action that changes lives. It means protecting those who need help most and helping people build secure, independent lives.
Outstanding Children's Services
Under Conservative leadership, Westminster's Children's Services were the first in the country rated Outstanding by Ofsted, and Westminster was named the best place for social mobility. We will protect this standard by investing in early intervention, safeguarding and partnerships with schools, youth organisations and Family Hubs.
Supporting Rough Sleepers
We will support personalised outreach, strengthen collaboration with charities and the Westminster Homelessness Partnership, and increase access to transitional and supported accommodation. Sustainable housing with wraparound support is the goal.
Community Cohesion and Public Health
We will support local initiatives that bring residents together and reduce isolation: volunteer groups, wellbeing programmes, physical activity and intergenerational engagement. The City Survey shows feelings of isolation have increased, and the proportion of local people who feel the Council cares about its vulnerable residents has fallen. That must change.
Modern Library Hubs
We will transform libraries into modern community hubs offering digital learning, skills training, meeting spaces and support services, addressing digital exclusion and partnering with local charities, youth groups and adult education providers.
Mental Health and Carers
We will lobby for local short-stay mental health beds so residents in crisis receive care near their support networks. We will strengthen the Carers' Support Offer with better respite, financial advice and training, working closely with Westminster's Carers Network and health partners.
Our pledge: Protect Outstanding children's services. Help rough sleepers into housing. Modern library hubs. Local mental health beds. Real support for carers.
Safe Streets. Clean City. Real Action.
Your vote on 7 May is the difference between a Labour Council that takes you for granted, or a Conservative Council that will deliver value for money, safe streets and a clean city.
Only the Conservatives can beat Labour in Westminster.
Vote Conservative on Thursday, 7 May.
