Your local Conservative councillors stand with the community of St James the Less Church and support their plan to turn the old school building into an Education Centre for vulnerable young people.
The building is currently owned by the London Diocesan Board of Schools and the Church wants to buy it from them. However, if they can’t find the money soon there is a risk the building will go in the market and be sold to developers. If the building was sold, it would also mean breaking up an important heritage site, the church, each of the school buildings and even the highly decorated railings are all listed Grade I. More information about the historic significance of James the Less can be found here.
The old school building at St James the Less, Pimlico has always been an educational facility and we urge the London Diocesan Board of Schools to keep it so. We also ask that our local community is given more time to raise the money to buy the building.
